Core product information

Open your product under Product → Products in the panel. Identify it with a title and page address, summarise it with a short description and explain its use and features in the long description. Manage related details such as brand, tax and shipping rules in product settings.

Product page design depends on your plan: Basic uses the theme’s product page; Standart lets you design the product page. With Pro, create multiple product page designs and assign them to products.

Selling price, discounted price and purchase cost

Manage the selling price, discounted price and purchase price in separate fields. This keeps the customer-facing price separate from your cost and brings the information needed for sales and profitability analysis into the same product record.

FieldWhat is it for?
Selling priceThe regular price of the product, used when no discount is applied.
Discounted priceSets the price used when selling the product at a discount. It is separate from the regular selling price and must be lower.
Purchase price / purchase costRecords what you paid for the product. Analytics use this information to help you understand the profit from your sales.
Example: understand price versus cost

For a product with a regular price of €100, a discounted price of €85 and a purchase cost of €50, the difference between discounted sales price and purchase cost is €35. This example shows only that difference; other expenses can affect net profit.

Core product attributes for feeds

Edit physical information such as colour, length or height, width, depth and weight in the core attributes area. These fields are dedicated to product feed data. Twicart automatically prepares the information you enter for the Google product feed.

FieldWhat is it for?
ColourIdentifies the product colour for the feed.
Length / height, width and depthRecords the physical dimensions in separate fields.
WeightRecords the product weight.
SEO and product data are considered together

Twicart’s SEO-focused product management provides separate controls for search metadata and product feed data. The meta title introduces the product page, while core attributes supply concrete details such as colour and dimensions to the feed. This separation is designed for professional product data and SEO management.

The specifications table on the product page

The specifications table lets customers review product details row by row on the product page. Describe an item with heading–value pairs such as “Material: Cotton”, “Use: Indoors” or “Care: Wash at 30 °C”.

This table has its own settings area and its own Excel editing operation. General product Excel operations and specifications-table editing are separate workflows. Core feed attributes, this product-page table and category filters serve different purposes.

Clear product content with an SEO focus

Twicart provides a dedicated specifications table to present product details consistently. Preparing specific, descriptive information helps customers understand the product and supports consistent content management for SEO.

Product filters for the category sidebar

Assign filter values to a product to include it in filtering through the category sidebar. When customers select a filter, they can find matching products. If those filters are defined, you might associate a product with “Colour: Blue” or “Material: Cotton”.

Product filters help customers narrow down the catalogue; the specifications table shows details of the product they open. Manage each area separately when using the same information in both. Filling in feed attributes does not by itself mean a filter has been assigned.

You can also manage product filters in bulk with Excel. In the Excel panel on the right of the product filters page, products are matched to filter IDs; assignments are added, removed and updated through the same Excel file.

Cross-sell: recommend complementary products

Select existing products to recommend alongside this item in the cross-sell area. For example, recommend a case with a phone, chairs with a table or shorts with a sports shirt. Depending on the presentation you configure, selected products can appear on the product page or be suggested when the item is added to the cart.

FieldWhat is it for?
On the product pageCustomers discover complementary products while viewing the item.
After adding to cartCustomers see related product suggestions after adding the item to their cart.

Cross-sell is a product recommendation. It is separate from the between-product variation links used for colour or size alternatives. Manage complementary suggestions in cross-sell and alternative products in the variation structure.

Dedicated product controls for professional SEO management

Twicart product management is designed around SEO needs. It provides per-product control over the title, page address, descriptions, meta title and meta description. These dedicated SEO fields let you prepare individual search metadata for every product instead of relying on one general description.

FieldWhat is it for?
Meta titleEdit the title metadata prepared for search engines. Use the product name, model and distinguishing feature to create a product-specific SEO title.
Meta descriptionWrite an SEO description summarising the product. Clearly describe its use, key feature and essential customer information.
Product addressManage the product page address to create a readable structure identifying the product.
SEO is a core part of product management

Per-product controls for professional SEO work are built into Twicart product management. Separate management of metadata, indexing preferences and feed attributes is part of this approach. Prepare accurate content and data for each product and use these controls to support your SEO work.

Index and follow settings for Google

Set index and follow preferences separately for each product. These two SEO controls operate at product level: one concerns indexing the product page, the other concerns following links on that page.

FieldWhat is it for?
Index / noindexIndex permits indexing; noindex tells supporting search engines not to include the page in search results. Enabling index does not guarantee inclusion or ranking in Google.
Follow / nofollowSets the preference for following links on the page. Nofollow asks for those links not to be followed; it does not by itself remove the product page from search results.
Indexing and following links are different SEO decisions

Managing these controls separately lets you apply your SEO strategy per product. Consider noindex for a product you want excluded from search results; make the follow decision separately for its page links.

Categories and product ordering

A product can belong to multiple categories, with one selected as its primary category. Position determines its ordering in category lists: higher values appear first, while lower or unset values appear later.

One product, one shared position

Position is not set separately for each category. The value you assign in product settings is shared across every category containing that product.
